Pinch Valves for the Road Tanker Industry

The air operated pinch valves of the VT Series are available in the nominal diameters of DN080 and DN100.

They are designed as standard with semi-silo trailer connections according to DIN 28459.

Structure of VT Pinch Valves

The structure of the VT series air operated pinch valves encompasses sleeve,  body and two flanges.

The VT series air operated pinch valves are based on an elastomer sleeve positioned in the centre of the valve body; both of its ends are pressed on by a flange forming a compact unit.

 

Function of VT Pinch Valves

The VT series air operated pinch valve is closed by differential pressure of 2-3 bar being fed via the medium/operating pressure (depending on the elastomer grade) into the pinch valve body.

As soon as the pressure supply is interrupted and the pinch valve body bled, the pinch valve sleeve opens again completely because of its enormous rebound resilience.

Only the sleeve and the two flanges are positioned in the product flow of theVT series air operated pinch valve.

Materials of AKO air operated Pinch Valves type VT

A selection of 10 different elastomer grades for the sleeve (NR, NR food quality, NR high temperature, CR, EPDM, EPDM food quality, NBR, NBR food quality, IIR and CSM) ensures that the VT series air operated pinch valves have a very wide and practically unrestricted field of application.

The housing of the VT series air operated pinch valve DN100 is available in cast aluminium.

An RAL 9006 powder coated aluminium housing is available for the nominal width DN80.
