Types of Air Operated Pinch Valves
VF Pinch Valves: White epoxy powder coated in Aluminium body. Flanged PN10/16. Available in sizes DN40 – DN300.
VMC Pinch Valves: Available with Flanges, Tri-Clamps, Weld-On Ends, Threaded Spigot & BSP Internal Thread connections. DN10 – DN150.
VM Pinch Valves: Socket connections in Stainless or POM. Body materials PVC or aluminium. DN10- DN50.
VT Pinch Valves: For semi-silo trailer connection in the road tanker industry. DN80 & DN100.
Double Effect Pinch Valves: Double acting pneumatic cylinders, normally closed, spring return. Type P.
Pinch Valve Accessories: Solenoids, pressure switches, safety arrangements, Vacuum systems, quick exhausts, proportional control, pressure regulators.

Air operated pinch valves are operated by supplying compressed air or fluid into the housing, which compresses the rubber sleeve/liner. The special manufacturing process of the sleeves ensures high rebound elasticity. The rubber sleeve closes in the same way every time due to the elliptical design of the body, forming a lip shape to ensure a completely tight shutoff of the product flowing through (even with large solids). This guarantees the longest service life of the rubber sleeve/liner, and results in energy savings.
The maximum operating pressure for all AKO air operated pinch valves is dependent on the nominal diameter and is around 2-6 bar. As soon as the supply of compressed air or fluid is interrupted and the valve casing is vented or drained, the durable rubber sleeve is opened by its rebound elasticity/resilience, enabling the pressure in the medium to flow through the full passage of the air operated Pinch Valves.
