Quick Closing Valve General Information
A quick closing valve can be controlled by pneumatic, hydraulic, or mechanical transmission. Suitable for a variety of applications, a quick closing valve serves the purpose of a very important safety function, especially in emergency situations where a product may need to be suddenly shut off to stop the flow. The very fast one-off function of AKO’s quick closing valve is one of many advantages that this particular valve has over other conventional valve types.
Under normal circumstances, the quick closing pinch valves are in an open position. Their uncomplicated construction and design ensures simple operation and optimum safety. Moreover, the short valve height enables them to be easily placed in narrow spaces. Quick closing valves are also available in the normally closed position, which require air to open the internal rubber bellow/sleeve.
The video below shows how quickly a normally open 4″/100mm pinch valve closes quickly, with the supply of air pressure.
The quick closing valve by AKO is available in a variety of body materials including:
- Stainless Steel
- POM Plastic
A wide range of end connections are also available:
- Weld-on ends
- Flanges DIN
- Flanges ANSI 150
- Threaded BSP sockets
